ESBS National Programme

ESBS Breast Surgery Training, Practice and Educational Needs Survey

This independent scientific survey is organised by the Egyptian Society of Breast Surgery in collaboration with the Egyptian Cancer Society.

It explores breast surgery training, clinical practice, previous educational experience, learning priorities, mentorship and barriers to professional development.

The findings are intended for scientific presentation and peer-reviewed publication. Results will normally be reported in aggregate so individual respondents are not identified.

Participants may register an interest in helping with future analysis and manuscript development. Interested participants may later be invited to contribute to interpretation, drafting or critical review. Authorship is not automatic and will follow recognised journal and ICMJE criteria.

This is not an examination, credentialing exercise or ranking of surgeons. Honest responses are important.

The same form can also be used to register for selected ESBS educational programmes. Please do not include patient-identifiable information.

Estimated completion time: 20–25 minutes.

Privacy & Data Use

Please review the information below before continuing with the survey.

Privacy policy

Privacy, data use and publication

Who is responsible: The Egyptian Society of Breast Surgery is responsible for this survey, in scientific collaboration with the Egyptian Cancer Society. Questions may be directed to [email protected].

Information collected: The form collects professional contact details, country and place of practice, qualifications, training history, operative experience, educational needs, professional views and, where selected, educational programme registration details. Do not enter patient-identifiable information.

Why the information is collected: Identifiable details are used to administer programme registration and essential communications. Survey responses are used for scientific analysis, educational planning and service-development discussions.

Publication: The survey findings are intended for presentation and publication. Results will normally be reported in aggregate so that individual respondents are not identified. Direct quotations from free-text responses will be anonymised before use.

Authorship and contributorship: Respondents may indicate that they wish to be invited to contribute to future manuscript development. Expressing interest does not guarantee authorship. Authorship will depend on substantive contribution to the work, critical review or drafting, final approval and accountability in accordance with accepted journal and ICMJE criteria. Other contributors may be acknowledged or included in a collaborative contributor group where appropriate.

Access and retention: Access to identifiable data will be restricted to authorised ESBS personnel involved in survey administration, analysis and programme coordination. Data will be held within the secured survey environment and authorised working files, and retained for up to five years after the final related publication or completion of the associated educational programme, unless a longer period is required for research integrity or legal obligations.

Voluntary participation: Participation is voluntary. You may stop before submitting. After submission, requests concerning your identifiable record can be sent to the ESBS research email; removal may no longer be possible once data have been irreversibly anonymised and incorporated into aggregate analysis.
