Comprehensive Knowledge Programme in Breast Cancer Management
A structured multidisciplinary programme designed to update and strengthen the knowledge breast surgeons need for contemporary breast cancer care.
February to April 2027
Preparation, Live Teaching and Assessment
Participants will receive selected reading materials and attend six interactive webinars before an intensive three-day face-to-face course in late April 2027.
A curriculum-aligned assessment will follow the course. Participants who achieve the approved standard will receive an ESBS Certificate of Successful Completion in Breast Cancer Management.
Programme Focus
The Patient Pathway From Diagnosis to Treatment Planning
Teaching will focus on the knowledge required for informed multidisciplinary discussion and sound surgical decision-making.
The Learning Journey
Guided Reading
Selected guidelines, review articles, learning summaries and clinical cases provide the foundation for live teaching.
Six Webinars
Six interactive sessions from February to April introduce the core themes and provide time for clinical discussion.
Three-Day Course
Expert updates, multidisciplinary cases and treatment-planning exercises bring the programme together in late April.
Knowledge Assessment
A post-course assessment will test the published learning outcomes and determine successful completion.
The final curriculum, webinar dates, face-to-face course dates, assessment arrangements, pass standard and external accreditation will be confirmed before registration opens. ESBS intends to seek appropriate external accreditation for the completed programme.
