About the Course
The Advanced Oncoplastic Breast Surgical Skills Course is the flagship educational programme of the Egyptian Society of Breast Surgery (ESBS). The course brings together Egyptian and international faculty to deliver advanced education in oncoplastic breast surgery, multidisciplinary decision-making, therapeutic mammoplasty, breast reconstruction and modern breast surgical practice. The programme combines lectures, MDT simulation, interactive case discussions, surgical video teaching, practical workshops, live surgical demonstration and educational theatre-based learning opportunities.
September 2026 course

The course will take place from 28–30 September 2026 in Egypt and includes MDT decision-making, live surgery, observer pathway training and supervised operative pathway participation for approved candidates.



The observer pathway
- Delegates who will attend the educational programme, participate in lectures, MDT simulations, interactive case discussions and live surgery transmission with Faculty Commentary and parallel lectures.

- Dedicated complication recognition, prevention and management teaching sessions will be conducted for observer delegates, covering common and complex postoperative scenarios, risk reduction strategies and contemporary management principles.

The operative pathway
- Limited to approved candidates only.
- Approved operative candidates to scrub only where pre-approved and may undertake selected, low-risk, non-critical operative steps under direct consultant supervision, only where appropriate for the patient and procedure.
- Operative participation is not guaranteed and remains subject to governance approval, patient consent, case suitability, faculty approval and theatre safety.
